John B Caswell holds a BA in English Literature from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia. In 1964, he joined the foreign sales department of Stanhome, Inc., then a party plan seller of personal grooming and household maintenance products. Twenty years working through independent contractors worldwide (over 100,000 in 1984) provided the necessity of a genuine partnership with all employees - both sales and non-sales. He founded The Omnia Group in Tampa, Florida in 1985. Omnia deals with all aspects of employee selection, except search. "We do background checks, benchmarking, profiling, and training in reading resumes, interviewing and career planning" - all based on solid-theory psychometrics.
