Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Al Ristori has fished over half a century for everything from sunfish to 1,000-pound gaint tuna, and still puts in over 200 days a year at sea or on the beack--catching fish! He's been writing for Salt Water Sportsman since 1965, and has been the saltwater editor of the Star-Ledger in Newark, New Jersey, since 1984. His travels have taken him around the world. In October 2001, Ristori won the first Sport Fishing World Champion Cup in Japan. As of 2002, he held the IGFA world records for the first "grander" in New Jersey: a 1,022-pound gaint tuna; a 405-pound mako shark on bluefish tackle and 30-pound mono; and a 61-pound striped bass plus a dozen more over 50 pounds.
