It has been said you cannot judge a book by its cover. This is truly so of the book by Michael K Finch, 100% Jesus. The cover is simple and even the title is simple and uncomplicated; just like the contents of the book which explains that God s way of Salvation is plain and simple. What is the Gospel? The beginning of the Gospel of John answers this question in an uncertain way, says Finch. He uses John 1:1 & John 1:14 as references. Is Salvation obtained through works or grace? On page fifty, I like what the author has to say. Nevertheless, there remains dare devils among us who would attempt to secure their souls through their own righteousness. They fail to realize that this prospect is simply impossible. But if you place 1005 of your faith and trust in Jesus, then you can retain the very righteousness which will always elude you if you try to obtain it in any other way. Finch then continues on and uses many, many Bible verses to expel the myth that man has to do SOMETHING for his salvation but to establish the truth it is ALL the work of Jesus. Jesus Christ is the only source of our salvation. John 4:16. We are 0% responsible for our place in heaven. His dying on the cross in obedience to his Father s will was enough. It is finished. Hebrews 12:2 Man is not justified by works: Galatians 2:16. Those that are depending on good works to get them to Heaven are working in vain; instead put your trust in Jesus Christ. This book provides, in a nice, easy to read way, a spiritual study of God s plan of Salvation. I notice Michael K Finch did not mince words; he boldly set forth the Biblical way of Salvation. In this bold way, Finch tears down the myth that man has to do something for his salvation and puts us straight by pointing out that Jesus did it all by dying on the cross. In his book he explains all this understandable chunks, backed up by scripture readings. This book will give most people a whole new outlook on the word SALVATION . Like the title implies it s 100% Jesus and not by the works of man-any works. I was a bit disappointed because Finch did not touch more on election and the church but his idea of this book was to show believers that salvation is 100% from Jesus Christ; and Finch accomplished this. I recommend this book for any believer who wants the meat of God s word. Grace Brooks Author of The Asquinn Twins Series --Grace Brooks: Author of The Asquinn Twins Series
