The book is entitled "Liary" and as one critic said it: “Not since Primary Colors has a novel captured the political backstage and sexual vibe of our nation.” The story is based on Carlin Canaby, entrepreneur extraordinaire, irreverent son of an itinerant white evangelist, immutable cynic, baby-boomered, bodacious bungler and master of liary: "the craft of formatting existing information into a more positive slant, to the betterment of deserving parties." Via his own clever reputation and against his better judgment, Carlin finds himself catapulted into the world of national politics, intricately involved in constructing a third-party presidential campaign, which ends up scandalizing even his fatigued sense of morality. In the process, he stumbles upon a coalition of corporations and special interest groups out to steal the presidency of the United States, led by William Carleton Pennington, a detrimentor from his youth. What you have is a dead heat in the polls, with one man, Carlin Canaby, standing in the way of an international fiasco; a role he must pursue while accused of murder and treason.
