Before we talk about me, let’s look at some of my friends who contributed to these studies. When it comes to the topic of "life", there is no one person with all the answers.

I am very fortunate to have access to some of the most brilliant minds and researchers on the planet. Somewhere in these studies I’ve had to call upon the wisdom of physical scientists, astronomers, biologists, chemists, historians, medical researchers, theologians, mathematicians, behavioral experts… and a lot of common sense. As for me, I have been a student, counselor and teacher on the topic of life for more years than I wish to admit. I attended seven universities, majoring in three disciplines…Business, Theology and Psychology. I am licensed in all 50 states as a "healing professional". I have a private counseling practice where I counsel people who have really bad problems. I deal with Corporations in their EAP programs; Police Agencies with stress management; Ministers and Churches with marriage, family and spiritual issues; Social Service groups with psychological and social traumas; etc., etc.

I am expected to identify the problem, sort out all the confusion, suggest a realistic remedy, and encourage those who have been beat down with life. It’s a great job!

Then there’s this research stuff I have to do. I’m supposed to know a little about everything (so they say). My research background spans physical science, ancient and modern history, sociology, Bible and theology, humanities, physics, biology, chemistry, astrophysics, astronomy, world religions, mental health, philosophy…and elephant jokes.

I lecture and teach to special interest groups around the country. I’ve taught college classes and have been asked to do a weekly national television broadcast, but I declined.

Then, there’s this woman I met in high school and married many years ago. She also helps to keep me straight (since she always gets in the last word)…naturally! And she has the greatest kids and grandkids you would ever want to meet.

I also pray a lot. I’ve learned that knowledge can be gained through study and experience…but wisdom in how to use that knowledge comes only from our omniscient Creator. So, what do I do for fun? I got a little woodshop at my house where I make stuff. I’d pilot airplanes more often if the little lady (mentioned above) didn’t expect me to keep both feet on the ground. And, yep, I enjoy all the college and professional sports (what guy with hair on his chest doesn’t).

But the family always comes first…there’s no hobby more important than people…at least for me. That’s who I am.

Finally, I am a very honest person who will always tell you the truth as best as I understand it.
