Conceived by British parents, Jim, was almost born in the UK. His mother was a Royal nurse in a military hospital during World War I. That's where she met the man who was to become his father. He had been wounded while serving in France in the artillery. They married in 1917; and, in early 1923, they traveled to Canada. Jim, was born on February 6, 1923.

Actually, Jim's roots in the United Kingdom go very deep. He has been able to trace his paternal side only back to his great-grandfather, Anthony, of Boston, Lincolnshire; but, in his meditations, he has been told that he had many lives in England going back to the Middle Ages.

After high school in Vancouver, Jim, joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942; and, became an operational Lancaster bomber pilot with the RAF No. 115 Squadron based at Witchford, near Ely. He was stationed at various other places during training in the British Isles: Bournemouth, Wolverhampton, Dallachy, Banff, Lossiemouth, Wigsley and Syerston. As well as operations from Witchford, Jim also spent some time as a Pathfinder pilot with RAF No. 7 Squadron at Oakington.

Following the war, he took accountancy training; and, after graduation in 1995, he established his own practice as a professional accountant and auditor (CGA). His other business interests included labour relations work and electronic and furniture retailing, the latter two with his wife and two sons.

Alma and Jim retired in 1991. Alma passed away about a year later.

The messages started coming through right away; and, have not stopped.

Jim continues to live in the family home of forty-seven years; and, still enjoys his weekend retreat at The Forest in Washington State - about an hour to an hour and a half's drive.
