Dr. Ronald Halweil has been practicing medicine and surgery for 35 years. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and attended Medical School at the SUNY, Downstate Medical Center, graduating in 1967 with honors. He took post-graduate training in General Surgery and Otolaryngology at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in Manhattan.
Dr. Halweil has a life long passion for uncovering the causes of illness and the ways to promote health, and this has extended his view beyond his medical specialty. Primarily a vegetarian, he also eats an occasional fish dinner, but only if he has caught the fish! Exercise and loving relationships are also recognized by Dr. Halweil as essential to health and longevity. He is married for 25 years and has 2 grown children.
