This Strong Woman

This strong woman By chance and not by choice Tested and re-invested To the ground, on my knees This strong woman I resent her so She takes my femaleness Then in reality She cries out my name This strong woman Chartered and weathered From humbled beginnings To limitless skies This strong woman Still so soft An unprotected heart Finding, her own blood stay This strong woman Hurling back Day after day Moving toward her sights This strong woman Resented by some Yet loved by most This strong woman Bridled young, and Yet, not bridled none
