From Chapter 4: The day prior to Jesus' departure from Bethany beyond the Jordan, Andrew and another disciple, probably John the Apostle, followed Jesus and spent the day with Him. This would have been Sunday, February 16. Probably the same Gregorian day, after sunset, Andrew called His brother, Simon Peter. The day prior to that, Saturday, February 15, John the Baptist bore witness that Jesus was the Son of God. On the day prior to that, February 14, the priests and Levities arrived to question John the Baptist and he confessed, "I am not the Christ." The fact that the priest and Levities arrived on a Friday, confirms that the Wedding of Cana was indeed for a virgin on a Wednesday because if it had been for a widow on a Thursday, then the priests and Levities would have arrived on a Saturday which is highly unlikely because of the Sabbath travel restrictions of Judaism. All these events are listed in Figure 4.2 together with their dates of occurrence in terms of both the Gregorian calendar and the Jewish calendar.
