Nan Zastrow is the president of Roots and Wings, Ltd.--a non-profit organization which promotes community awareness about grief and its life-changing impact. Wings publishes a quarterly magazine with real stories about real people who walk the journey through grief. She and her husband, Gary, are suvivors of suicide and experienced the multiple deaths of their son, Chad, and his fiancee in separate incidents. Additionally, they have experience 4 other sudden deaths. Nan is a writer and contributes quarterly articles and poetry to the Wings magazine. She gives community presentations, holds workshops, and facilitates a Sudden Death Learning Series. She is enrolled in the Center for Loss and Life Transition at Fort Collins to earn her certificate in death and grief studies.
