Thrift Store: Shop, Cook, Laugh, But Don't Call The Police - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

A thrift store can yield some extraordinary surprises. Valuable antiques arrive in battered cardboard boxes. Gold bracelets lie buried beneath a mountain of used T shirts. But when Bebe Nicholson started working as Director of Thrift Shop Services at a local charity, she discovered that life in a thrift store yielded more surprises than the ones that arrived at the donation receiving door. She discovered glimpses of humor, compassion, and even a miracle or two that will surprise and delight her readers. She also discovered that with a staff as diverse as the staff at NFCC, good cooks abound. Thrift Store is a combination of recipes and stories that will have the reader alternately laughing, crying or cooking. This book is a ray of sunshine illuminating the simple truth that hope resides in the faith, laughter and kindness of everyday people.
