Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Brian M. Jacobson learned to fly in 1970 in a Cessna 150 and has amassed nearly 13,000 hours in general aviation aircraft since. Originally from New England he now lives in the Detroit, Michigan area where he is a full-time aircraft appraiser, a buyer's agent, and writer. Throughout the years he has flown all kinds of airplanes from light singles to jets, and enjoys sharing his experience with others who can benefit from them. "I was just plain lucky," Jacobson says of his first aircraft ownership experience. " I did everything I should not have done, but somehow I came out of it okay. I did not know how to buy an airplane back then, and I want to help others avoid the same mistakes." He and his wife own a 1975 Piper Arrow which they fly all over the country for business and pleasure.

Brian M. Jacobson began his career in aviation in 1971 buying and selling airplanes. Since then he has been instrumental in the purchase and sale of all types of general aviation aircraft. A full-time professional aircraft appraiser, he evaluates aircraft for those with a need to know their market value, buys airplanes for people who lack the knowledge or time to pursue the market, and assists businesses and individuals in determining the best solution to their travel problems. His first book was published in 1996. He is a contributing editor to Aviation Safety and IFR Refresher Magazines and a contributor to Plane & Pilot and Pilot's Audio Update.
