Assembled from more than five years of his "Ranch Life" columns for "Big Sky Journal," this collection is the first book from well-known author Ralph Beer in more than ten years. A personal set of memories and reflections from Ralph Beer after spending a lifetime writing and working on his family's cattle ranch outside of Helena. As William Kittredge says in his foreword, "In Ralph's work we see humanistic responsibilities mattering in our lives; we are witness to consequences, generosity, compassion."
