#37-Vince Fudzie: Vince was raised in a West Oakland nieghborhood, riddled with drugs, violence and prostitution, where he lived with his mother and three sisters. Vince is a product of an environment which included a deteriorating public school system. Despite the fact that Vince was considered for special education in the second grade because of his inability to read, he went on to excel in school. Astonishingly, his high school counselor attempted to limit his potential by telling him that he lacked the intelligence to succeed in college, even though he had a stellar GPA. However, with perseverance, Vince entered the University of Washington on a football scholarship. Although Vince struggled with many of these issues, he quickly learned to manage the dual role of student and major college athlete. Vince went on to receive a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Washington, and a M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. #18-Andre N. Hayes: Andre grew up in a single parent home.
