Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Michael O'Donovan has lived most of his life on Santa Rosa Island at the eastern end of Pensacola Beach. He began photographing the island more than twenty years ago after becoming inspired by the immense amount of natural beauty this 50 mile long barrier island has to offer. Michael has walked hundreds of miles on the beaches, across the soundside dunes, into the neighborhoods, through Ft. Pickens and has photographed the island by water, land and air. Some of his photographs in the book go back to 1975, although most were taken over the past five years. Incredibly, over one-third of the photos were taken after hurricanes Erin and Opal, including the cover!

The book was published with the hope it will inspire the same appreciation and love of the island that the author has found.
