Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Allan Kardec was born on October 3, 1804, in France, and studied under J.H. Pestalozzi. In 1854, Kardec first heard of the mysterious rapping phenomena that had taken America and Europe by storm. Despite his initial skepticism, he was convinced by close friends to attend an experimental meeting. His intellectual curiosity and scientific training told him that there had to be a rational explanation for these phenomena. Using the same logical rigor that he had applied to his work in education and science, Kardec set out to study the phenomena and the mediumistic process that gave rise to the phenomena. He presented blind questions to mediums in different countries of Europe. The answers were compared, analyzed, and organized into the present book.
