Sonya Jones has been called the "humorist of the Krishnamurti set."
A Professor of English at Allegheny College, she is currently working on two new poem cycles, "The Hurt Corners of New York" and "Dancing with Hafiz." Her edited collection of essays, A Sea of Stories: The Shaping Power of Narrative in Gay and Lesbian Cultures," is forthcoming from The Haworth Press.
