He began his formal study of photography at Southern Illinois University and received his MFA in 1987 at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Tor more than fifteen years his emphasis has been on photographing the male nude. Ziolkowski's photographs have been exhibited in a variety of solo and group exhibitions in Europe, South America, and the United States of America.
