Trade paperback. Zustand: Very good. xiii, [1], 93, [1] pages. Jacob G. Hornberger (born January 1, 1950) is an American attorney, author, and politician. He is the founder and president of the Future of Freedom Foundation. He was a candidate for the Libertarian Party's presidential nomination in 2000, as well as a candidate for the United States Senate election in Virginia in 2002. Hornberger then left the practice of law in 1987 to become director of programs at the Foundation for Economic Education. Two years later, he established the Future of Freedom Foundation with the aim of establishing an educational foundation that would advance an uncompromising case for libertarianism in the context of both foreign and domestic policy. He is a regular writer and commentator and has advanced freedom and free markets on various international media-platforms. These have included Fox News' Neil Cavuto, Greta van Susteren and on Judge Andrew Napolitano's show Freedom Watch. "'The best thing about The Tyranny of Gun Control' is Jacob Hornberger's skill as a polemicist. Out of 14 essays, he owns five of them, including 'The Nazi Mindset in America' and 'Loving Your Country and Hating Your Government,' an amusing rhapsody on President Clinton's inability to fathom the attitude alluded to in the title. The right to own firearms is one of the most fundamental, inherent rights of man. Not only do individuals have the natural right to own property, they also have the basic right to defend themselves from murderers, rapists, thieves, burglars, and other violent people in society. Most important, individuals have the right to defend themselves from the oppressive, tyrannical acts of their own government. This book shows why gun control poses an enormous threat to the liberty of the American people. It is a must read for anyone concerned about the future direction of freedom in the United States. This book shows why gun control poses an enormous threat to the liberty of the American people. Presumed First Paperback Edition, First printing. Artikel-Nr. 77995
