Paul and Tricia Barrett of Oregon had no particular interest in crows until one spring day in 1996 when a neighbor showed up with a tiny nestling in a cardboard box.

An extraordinary exchange of affection occurred and the couple fell in love with the little crow. They hand raised it as a wild creature and successfully released it several months later.
