True story based on the life of Juliius Earl Ruffin who was wrongfully incarcerated for 21 years. A woman saw him on an elevator at a medical school where he worked and called the police. She said he was the man who had raped her 45 days prior. He was charged with five felonies against her. After two hung juries, he was tried a third time and an all white jury found him guilty. He was sentenced to five life sentences. DNA freed him after he spent 21 years in prison trying to prove his innocence. This book contains graphic details and is a must read.
