A graduate of the Alexian Brothers Hospital School of Nursing, St. Louis, Missouri, Howard E. Crouch worked with victims of leprosy in the British West Indies giving him a common bond with Brother Dutton as well as the idea for the Damien-Dutton Society of which he is founder and president. This Society gives help to victims of leprosy throughout the world regardless of race or creed.
