Heather Flood was encouraged to write by her husband Tony, a former journalist. She began by reviewing theatrical productions for the Richmond and Twickenham Times series and still pens theatre reviews for the Brighton Argus. Heather gave Tony the idea for his first children’s novel, The Secret Potion, and then decided to write children’s books herself, mainly for her grandchildren Gabrielle-Antonia and Ashlee, and, more recently, little Samuel. Heather has benefited from belonging to the Anderida Writers Group in Eastbourne, with whom she has won awards, and meeting publishers Rupert Barlow and Rex Sumner, who has offered help and advice through his company My Voice Publishing. She also loves singing and belongs to the Concentus singers. Heather enjoys new challenges. These include helping her first husband build three houses, climbing The Great Wall of China and making celebration cakes. She and Tony also run the Alice Croft House Creative Writing Group.
