Inhaltsangabe

Your team is about to get relegated, your manager suffers a brain tumour, the best players are all leaving and the club's finances are on the brink of ruin. This isn't a bad game of Championship Manager. This is what was happening to West Ham United at the end of the 2002-03 season. Our Days Are Few picks up at the end of that calamitous season. It is the story of just what happened to the first major football club in the 21st century to suffer the ignominy of relegation from the Premiership, the most lucrative football league in the world, and why things would never be the same again for the East End club that produced the three most famous World Cup winners. It's not just a story about a fallen football team. It's a tale of an epic failure of human loyalty, of a subsequent financial freefall and of the obsessional importance of money in sport.
