This guide is published quarterly: (October 2006 edition). A hybrid guide book and magazine, this is the world's first truly international periodical covering cocktail and bar culture. Each issue includes 500 cocktail recipes, reviews of leading bars in various world cities and in depth coverage of the London bar scene. Each issue also features a specific spirit category (e.g. gin in this issue) with background information and dispassionate reviews of all the leading brands, allowing the reader to make an informed choice at the bar or supermarket.
Biografía del autor
Simon Difford has been involved in most aspects of the drinks industry from running his own off licence and wholesale company to importing and brand creation, but is best known as a drinks writer and publisher. Simon founded CLASS Magazine in 1997, a title which became the leading UK style bar title before he sold it to William Reed Publishing to prepare for the launch of his range of diffordsguide drinks related books in 2001. The best known of these, `diffordsguide to Cocktails', is now in its 6th edition with 2,000 colour illustrated recipes.
