When the General Purpose Committee of the Irish Kennel Club, decided to publish a book on Irish Breeds, the task of researching and compiling the material for same was entrusted to Mr. Tom Creamer.
The dedication and devotion with which he and his many helpers approached this task, is reflected in the finished book.
Incorporating as it does the official Breeds Standards of the Irish Kennel Club for all Native Breeds, it is an essential for breed enthusiasts, while anyone with an interest in Ireland and the Irish will enjoy making the acquaintance of the Native Dogs of Ireland.
The original water colours by Wendy Walsh, depicting each breed against an authentic Irish background are masterpieces of detail.
I consider it to be a book of great quality and will, I am sure, be received throughout the Canine World for what it is, a classic of Canine Literature.
