Inhaltsangabe

White Buffalo Woman came to the High Plains to bring the peace pipe to the Native Americans, and initiated them in the Way of the Sacred Pipe. In Eyes of Wisdom, Heyoka Merrifield, internationally acclaimed artist and author, makes magic once again with an enchanting story based on this ancient legend. He tells of Owl, the young man who first met White Buffalo Women. As the sacred pipe unfolds the spiritual nature of his tribe, Owl becomes apprentice to Grandmother Eyes of Wisdom. Drawing from several versions of the legend of White Buffalo Women as well as from his own experiences, Heyoka offers a touching narration of life and ceremony on the plains, richly woven with Native American tradition and other mythic themes.
