Zheng Chongbin: I Look for the Sky documents a solo exhibition of new works by Bay Area-based, Chinese contemporary ink artist Zheng Chongbin. The exhibition consists of a newly-commissioned, large-scale ceiling installation in AAM's Bogart Court and a light tunnel/environment surrounded by an installation of paintings in AAM's Osher Gallery, opening in June 2020. The publication historicizes this prominent, mid-career artist through two scholarly essays and an artist statement related to the new works in the exhibition.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Abby Chen is Senior Associate Curator and Head of Contemporary Art at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco.
Maya Kovskaya is a Chiang Mai-based political theorist, cultural critic, and curator. Winner of the 2010 Yishu Award for Critical Art Writing, she writes on the intersection of the political, cultural, and ecological, with contemporary art.
Jay Xu is Executive Director of the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco. He is the first Chinese American director at a major US art museum and first Asian American museum director elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Xu, like the authors, lives and works in San Francisco, California.
