Chronicles the experiences of U.S. Air Force fighter pilots, known as the *River Rats,* who flew high-risk missions over North Vietnam?s heavily defended Red River Valley during the Vietnam War. The book, created with input from the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association, combines first-person accounts, photographs, and the organizational history of this group. It highlights their bravery, the perilous conditions they faced, and the strong bonds formed among pilots who survived or were shot down in the region. Beyond recounting combat stories, the volume also traces the association?s beginnings in Thailand in 1967 and its evolution into an influential fraternity of fighter pilots. The association played a vital role in POW/MIA advocacy and maintained its traditions through reunions, support networks, and continued engagement with aerospace issues. The book serves as both a tribute and a historical record, preserving the camaraderie and enduring mission of the *River Rats.*. Artikel-Nr. 2507310001
