Chapter 3: The original Bally schematics have been re-drawn for this manual for a number of reasons. First, the new drawings represent crisp and clear renderings of the circuits. Second, the physical layout of the schematics can now easily be accommodated in a paper size compatible with this manual. Third, the drawings have been enhanced with useful information such as cross indexing and the physical location of the electrical components. Finally, the electrical symbols usually used in electrical schematics have been annotated to make them a little more lifelike to the new student of electricity; this friendly characterization, however, retains the basic elements of standard electrical symbols so that the electrical expert will not be offended nor confused by their use.
