Studies in the Age of Chaucer is the annual yearbook of the new Chaucer Society, publishing articles on the writing of Chaucer and his contemporaries, their antecedents and successors, and their intellectual and social contexts. More generally, articles explore the culture and writing of later medieval Britain (1200-1500). SAC also includes an annotated bibliography and reviews of Chaucer-related publications.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
David Matthews is professor of medieval and medievalism studies at the University of Manchester and was Head of the Division of English, American Studies, and Creative Writing between 2013 and 2015. He was editor of Studies in the Age of Chaucer, the annual journal of the New Chaucer Society from 2007 to 2013. He previously taught at the University of Newcastle in Australia and then had a short stint at the University of Liverpool.
