Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Swami Amar Jyoti was born in 1928 in northwestern India and was a brilliant child and student. A few months before college graduation he shocked everyone with the decision to renounce home and pursue a deep aspiration for God Realization. After more than a decade in the Himalayas practicing meditation and esoteric yoga, he descended into the plains of India upon realizing his goal. In 1961 he accepted an offer to visit the United States and eventually established Sacred Mountain Ashram in 1974 and Desert Ashram in 1975, incorporated under Truth Consciousness, a nonprofit organization. For four decades Swami Amar Jyoti traveled the world, personally guiding seekers from all walks of life and faiths. His message is the timeless wisdom of the Himalayan sages in a language readily understandable to the modern world. He teaches that all paths lead to the one God, and reminds us that we are at a breakthrough into an age when religions will be transformed into direct awakening and communion with our innermost Source.
