This is the biography of Pastor Gunar Sjoren and his wife Nelly. As she grew up in Norway, and as he grew up in Sweden, they had to learn swim against the tide of the Lutheran state church to keep the seventh-day Sabbath. Nelly was a young woman in Norway when it was overrun by the Germans. She has thrilling tales to tell of God's care for her. The book follows them to the United States where they continue to serve God and to experience His protection.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
The real authors of this book are Gunnar and Nelly Sjoren. Through interviews they shared with me what God had done for them. When I was studying in their home in the late 1980's I heard for the first time their stories and knew that these accounts could be a blessing to others.
I am a grandmother with three grown children. While completing my college education over the last 15 years I have enjoyed working in libraries. Now I am devoting my time to free-lance writing.
