[With "Plants That Merit Attention Vol II, ] It is easy to say these books set the current standard for excellence in horticultural reference books. The crystal clear photographs and clean, uncluttered layout make these not only a joy to use, but also very valuable for showing to clients.... It's a real pleasure working with books that I can recommend so whole heartedly. 'Must haves' for any serious reference shelf. The project promises to be a far-reaching resource for gardeners. This book is destined to become a standard for all landscape specialists. The book merits space on the bookshelf of any serious gardener as a reference. This is a first-rate effort...to encourage the planting of some marvelous trees that are too often overlooked. This book is the first step in an ambitious project that seeks to make both professionals and home gardeners aware of different plants that can be grown in their locale. Good color illustrations appear directly across from the text increasing the book's usefulness. . . . I sincerely hope this project can continue.
