He was the Yankee shortstop through all the glory years afterward, He played in 8 World Series and was a 5-tile All Star and was American League MVP in 1950. After his playing days were over, Rizzuto joined the Yankee broadcasting team in 1957 and would remain a fixture for the next 4 decades. Phil Rizzuto was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1994.
