Book Three: Worldwide Revivals and Renewal
Many have been taught that spiritual gifts and miracles ceased with the early church or the establishing of the canon of Scripture. This third volume documents the historical record of supernatural healings and miracles up to the present day and traces the origins of modern Pentecostal movements.
Evan Roberts gained worldwide attention through the 1904-05 Welsh Revival. Charles Parham preached the modern Pentecostal baptism in the Holy Spirit, and William Seymour spearheaded an international Pentecostal movement from Azusa Street in Los Angeles. This spawned new denominations worldwide and opened the way for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, as independent charismatic networks built megachurches, Bible schools, and introduced televangelism into people’s homes. Today, a fresh wave of global revival and harvest is expected “when the Word and the Spirit come together.”

Jeff Oliver is the founder and president of Global Wakening, a ministry that is inspiring and equipping a new generation with a supernatural Christian worldview to ignite a global wakening of God's church. Jeff says, "Suddenly, the 21st-century global church finds itself thrust into the very climate in which the events, triumphs, and opportunities of the New Testament occurred, but we can win our global culture to Christ the same way the early church did-through faith and fearlessness in the face of persecution, loving acts of kindness, and the power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit. All we need is the fresh, prayerful, united effort of ordinary Christians stirring up the gifts of God that are within them." (2 Tim 1:6-7)

Paperback. Zustand: Good. Contrary to popular belief, miracles did not pass away with the twelve apostles. If anything, the Pentecostal sparks that were lit by them continued to spread throughout the known world. The reader will see how spiritual gifts operated through the twelve apostles as they spread Christianity into the known world. How Montanism tried to revive the church from moral decay through strict living and prophetical gifts before it was rejected. How Emperor Constantine I reunited the Roman Empire under a new Christian-friendly regime. How the new state-run churches, overrun with sin, caused many to flee to the wilderness resulting in another intense spiritual revival. How the Middle Ages featured the mass conversion of much of northern Europe through miracle-working missionary monks, followed by a period of great jubilation, mystical faith, and charismatic revivals, and ending with the incredible healing ministry of Vincent Ferrer.
