Poetry. Native American Studies. Eric Chock has taught with the Hawai'i Poets-in-the-Schools program since the early '70s and is currently the coordinator of the project. This book, edited by Chock, is a collection of poems from his students: Most of the poems in this book were written by 8 to 12 year old public school children, with a sprinkling of poems by intermediate and high school students. I would like to express my thanks to them for keeping poetry alive and well in Hawaii. Chock's own book of poetry, LAST DAYS HERE, is also available from SPD.
