A hamburger bar in New Zealand is operated by a man who just may have been made into the new messiah by physicists working at the Vatican under the terms of the Galileo Gambit (house arrest or its modern equivalent). While he gathers around him a group of people whose 'life options' have all but run out, a deranged Libyan refugee who like like a reincarnated Rudolph Valentino is becoming the spiritual mainspring of the Untied States. Other work by the same Nobel prize-winning physicists (the formulation of the Unified Field Theory) has made possible developments that accelerate the race towards Armageddon.
This novel is spiritual comedy and satire, and is intended most of all to be fun.
