Workbooks are divided into four sections of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Within each section, there are two types of exercises; namely, traditional exercises (such as fill-in-the-blank, sentence completion, translation, etc.) to help students build a solid foundation, and communication-oriented exercises to prepare students to face the real world. The Integrated Chinese, Level 1 Part 2 workbook includes listening comprehension exercises (completed in response to the corresponding audio CDs), speaking exercises, and reading and writing work to accompany subject matter from the textbook.
