Based on the syllabus of the annual Surgical Board Review course given by the Department of Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Centre, this edition reviews all areas covered in the American Board of Surgery's certification and recertification examinations, both general surgery and all surgical subspecialities. It provides readers with the basic factual material required to approach the written qualifying and oral certifying exams. For this edition a series of sample exam questions, with answers, has been added to each chapter. Chapters from the original edition have been totally rewritten and updated and new chapters have been added, including one on plastic surgery. Each chapter also includes a list of suggested references for further study.
