Selections from The Message: Catholic/Ecumenical Edition - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Selections from The Message®: Catholic/Ecumenical Edition contains fifteen of the most beloved biblical passes written in contemporary language.

Eugene Peterson's The Message® is a fresh, compelling, insightful, challenging, faith-filled translation of the Bible into contemporary idiomatic American English. As Eugene is quick to point out, The Message® is first and foremost a reader's Bible. That is, it is meant to be read. Eugene Peterson and William Griffin (translator of the deuterocanonical books) have made the Scriptures come alive again by translating them in a way that people can understand what God is trying to say to us today.

The Message® is not meant to be a subsititue for your other bible translations. It is meant to sit next to them where you can pick it up and simply start reading. We hope it will send you back to your other translations with new insight and curiosity.

This booklet contains a short selection of 15 of the most beloved biblical passages from The Message®: Catholic/Ecumenical Edition translated by Eugene Peterson and William Griffin. We want you to read these passages and see what you think, if you like them, perhaps you will seek out a complete version of The Message®: Catholic/Ecumenical Edition available September 1.
