A research and data driven presentation of hypnotic phenomena and the methods used in assessing subjects, patterns, and reports derived from studies. The volume describes the development of a phenomenologically oriented inquiry technique called Experiential Analysis Technique (EAT), and uses it to explore ideomotor response, age regression hypnotic dreams and hallucinations, and hypnotic amnesia. The results of the experiments are then related to current theories, and to indicated courses of further study. The volume was originally published by Lawrence Erlbaum Associates: Hillsdale, New Jersey, 1982. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.
