June Helm was Professor Emerita of Anthropology at the University of Iowa. She is the author of many books, including Prophecy and Power among the Dogrib Indians (1994) and The People of Denendeh: Ethnohistory of the Indians of Canada's Northwest Territories (2000).

June Helm was an American anthropologist, primarily known for her work with the Dene people in the Mackenzie River drainage. She was also Professor Emerita of Anthropology at The University of Iowa.
