Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Hunt Hawkins is professor and chair of English at Florida State University. His essays on Conrad have appeared in PMLA, Journal of Modern Literature, South Atlantic Review, Conradiana, Polish Review, and Joseph Conrad: Essays for the Eighties. He has served as president of the Joseph Conrad Society of America and editor of Joseph Conrad Today.



Brian W. Shaffer, associate professor of English and associate dean of academic affairs at Rhodes College, is the author of The Blinding Torch: Modern British Fiction and the Discourse of Civilization and Understanding Kazuo Ishiguro. His essays on Conrad have appeared in PMLA, ELH, Conradiana, and A Joseph Conrad Companion.
