This new price guide parallels the older Sports America Baseball Card Price Guide, now in its 8th edition (1986). Like its rival this offers about 200,000 values, along with history, grading tips, illustrations, and ads. Though the Sports America guide is more legible, this one has 1987 cards and gives higher price quotations. Slocum's Topps Baseball Cards ( LJ 2/15/86) lacks scope and values though it has greater visual appeal. The new guide is useful, especially where the older guide is not owned.
