Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Mark Ryden came to preeminence in the 1990s during a time when many artists, critics and collectors were quietly championing a return to the art of painting. With his masterful technique and disquieting content, Ryden quickly became one of the leaders of this movement on the West Coast. Over the past decade, this marriage of accessibility, craftsmanship and technique with social relevance, emotional resonance and cultural reference has catapulted Ryden beyond his roots and to the attention of museums, critics and serious collectors. His work has been exhibited in museums & galleries worldwide.

Yoshitomo Nara is a contemporary Japanese pop artist. He currently lives and works in Tokyo, though his artwork has been exhibited worldwide.
