This book features 48 of Aesop's wonderful, classic stories, some very well- known and others that may be new to students. These tales are full of wit and wisdom and have been loved by children and adults alike for over twenty-five hundred years. The stories on these cards are ideal for telling and retelling. They are written in clear, modified English, progressing from short and easy to longer and more complicated. Telling brief stories is an excellent way for language learners to practice what they're learning, build fluency, and gain confidence and communicative competence.

The "story cards" in this book can be cut out using the dotted lines or they can be left intact in the book.

An (optional) downloadable audion program is available.
