Write about it was written to provide interestng, fun-filled activities to help boys and girls achieve writing independence. Each page has been carefully designed to reinforce and extend one or more writing skills, Easy to follow directions, fanciful contemporary-based themes, and the use of a controlled but not limited vocabulary encourage purposeful personal writing. To simplify classroom or home use, reproducible activity pages have been organized into two broad areas: vocabulary development and technical writing skills: parts of speech, word usage, word meanings, punctuation and capitalizaiton, writing sentences and paragraphs. Composition and original wiring: organizing ideas. Special literary devices. Prose and poetry. Each of the worksheets is sdeigned to stand alone and provide one complete writing experience. They may be used to supplement and reinforce adopted courses of study and are appropriate for use in individual or group settings. For classroom use, teachers will want to review the skills as listed int he table of contents and plan the order and manner of presentaiton to meet student needs.
