This research was aimed at understanding why Australian Aborigines apparently have no interest in the archaeological evidence for their prehistory even when it supports their own mythological origins, or could help to encourage social cohesion. The study including interviews and research into stone tool construction and this fieldwork was used to examine the relationships between archaeology and Aboriginal culture.
