Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Vasko Popa (1922-91) was born and brought up in the Banat district of Yugoslavia. He was elected to the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1972 and to the Parisian Academie Mallarme in 1977. He lived in Belgrade where he worked as an editor for the publishers Nolit. Anne Pennington (1934-1981) taught at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University, where she was Professor of Comparative Slavonic Philology. Andrew Harvey, born in south India in 1952, was the youngest person to be elected a Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford. He is the author of many books, an internationally renowned religious scholar and Founder Director of the Institute of Sacred Activism.
